Abstract :
In order to meet the need of rapidity and accuracy in detection of tool parameter in modern production, a non-contact tool geometric parameter detection technology is proposed based on IMAQ Vision. Algorithms of tool parameter measurement on theories and experiments are researched. A group of algorithm combination with higher precision were proposed, which selected the histogram specification and median filter as the means of contrast enhancing and image noise filtering, after Single threshold segmentation. The tools´ image can be processed by closed morphology processing effectively for removing the irrelevant structure, and then Canny edge operator is applied to detect cutting tool edge. Test results shows that this detection technology can be used to measure the tool parameters rapidly and accurately.
