Abstract
A face recognition method based on two dimension principle component analysis and Discrete Wavelet Transform is proposed. We compared our methods with three face recognition algorithms, PCA, Wavelet+PCA and 2DPCA. In the experiments, the nearest neighbor classifier is used to recognize different faces from the ORL face database. Experimental results show that the proposed method improved the recognition rate effectively in comparison with other three method, the best accuracy rate can reach 93%.
