Abstract
This paper presents a family of interleaving based space-time codes. We employ low-rate turbo-type codes to exploit the expansion of the signaling dimension due to the use of multiple transmit antennas. Low-cost iterative detection algorithms are derived to treat both cross antenna interference and intersymbol interference. The complexity involved increases only linearly with transmit antenna number and quadratically with path number. The proposed scheme can achieve performance close to the capacity of multiple transmit antenna systems.
