Abstract
The authors analyze the bit and symbol error probabilities of a system employing M -ary differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) and equal-gain diversity combining for land mobile radio systems. The channel is a doubly selective fading channel. An efficient iterative expression is given for computation of error probabilities. Expressions are derived for second moments of certain intermediate statistics. The results allow analysis of different systems using M -ary DPSK signaling. An example is included
