Abstract :
Expansion of virtual learning is one of the most suitable approaches for making higher education more accessible to everybody to meet all demands in society. Therefore there is a serious trend towards virtual learning in Ministry of Science, Research and technology (MSRT). E-learning in Iran, first, developed in the most famous and high-ranking universities like, Shiraz university, Amir kabir university, university of science and technology, K.N.Toosi university, Payam Noor university and etc. For admission in these kinds of courses, one should pass a given number of subjects with an acceptable grade. After that he/she is considered as a student in that course. The most important infrastructures for universities to be permitted to carry on this kind of courses is to have electronic sub structures and database and also Internet access to libraries, etc. In this paper, we describe the development of expanding of e-learning in Iran and then the performances of this procedure have been analyzed.
