Abstract
In order to investigate the spatial distribution of electromagnetic field induced by cloud-ground lightning and the effect of rugged terrain in the propagation path on the lightning radiation field, five attenuation model of strike channel (TL, MTLL, MTLE, TCS and DU) and two model of base current (Biexponential and Heidler functions) were employed to calculate the electromagnetic field around the discharge channel. The amplitude of electric field and magnetization at each point around the channel which have been calculated by different model and base current were representative of different colours. The factors which affect the distribution of amplitude were analysed. And the spatial distribution of four cases (strike to upland, strike to metal rod, near the upland and hollow) have been obtained and compared.
