Abstract :
A supervision system is a very powerful management tool covering both the design of technological plants and their operation and maintenance. It is also a flexible support for diagnostic purposes, preventive maintenance and operational services planning. The strategy of using telecommunication management network (TMN) concepts allows an open approach in defining the network management architectures. This permits the integration of different TLC networks through a homogeneous interface. The adoption of such a strategy could significantly help in achieving cost reduction goals, permitting a unified management of the overall TLC environment
