Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new multi-carrier system which called multi-carrier code-selected code-division multiple access (MC CS-CDMA) by combining the CS-CDMA and multi-carrier modulation to provide better performance than conventional multi-carrier system. The PAR (peak-to-average power ratio) and the bandwidth of transmitted signal spectrum are compared with those of a conventional multi-carrier direct sequence CDMA system. This procedure provides the following advantage: the transmission bandwidth is more efficiently utilized, the effect of frequency selective multi-path interference can be mitigated, and low PAR reduction is achieved. Finally, the BER performance of the proposed system with frequency-selective Rayleigh fading is analyzed. It is shown that the system performs better than that of the conventional DS-CDMA system and another MC DS-CDMA system.
