Abstract :
This paper describes low-loss surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters with center frequencies of 0.8 GHz, 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz for wireless applications. The SAW filters are mounted in miniature surface-mount-type ceramic packages, 3.2×2.5×0.9 mm3 for the 0.8 GHz filter and 2.5×2.0×0.9 mm3 for the 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz filters, using a flip-chip assembly technique for SAW devices. The SAW filters provide a minimum insertion loss of about 2 dB. The flip-chip SAW filters are suitable for miniaturization of wireless applications
