Abstract :
A compact and low profile microstrip fed wearable monopole antenna is proposed for UWB applications. Wearable textile antenna uses hexagonal patch with slot as radiating element and blue jeans as substrate with relative permittivity εr = 1.6, operates in 3.7 GHz to 10.7 GHz. Simulation is done both in free space and near human body. The results show that it provides bandwidth of 7 GHz and good impedance matching.
