Abstract :
Particle Swarm Optimization is an evolution algorithm. It has shown simple regulation and fast convergence speed in many problems. However it´s easy to be trapped into local optima. This paper an Opposition-based PSO with plow operator was present, naming OPSO, to cope with the problem. Experimental results on four well-known benchmark optimization problems have shown the optimization ability and the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm is superior to PSO, OPSO and PPSO in most functions.
