  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Our recent studies on the effects of composition and processing on the magnetic properties of 2:17 magnets helped us understand their coercivity and the temperature dependence of coercivity H/sub c/(T). Usually composition and processing adjustments lead to the variation of the distribution and amount of Cu at the 1:5 cell boundaries, which then controls the coercivity and its H/sub c/(T). We perform a comprehensive and systematic study to completely reveal the effects of Fe, Cu, Zr and ratio z on the coercivity, especially on the abnormal H/sub c/(T). The latest results will hopefully allow us to fully understand the H/sub c/(T) and the magnetization reversal mechanism.
