Abstract
A generalized model and an analysis of a constant frequency DC/DC resonant power converter are presented. Frequency-domain analysis is used to obtain generalized equations to describe the steady-state characteristics of the converter. Simulation results showing the effect of the leakage reactance of the high frequency transformer on the performance of the converter are presented. It is shown that the leakage reactance has a significant effect on the output voltage of the converter. A design example is provided to illustrate the use of the generalized equations and performance curves to design the converter
