Abstract :
In this article we consider computationally efficient FFT-based technique for the design of pulse shaping filters with arbitrary length and overlapping factors, for OFDM system. We implemented an OFDM/OQAM transmission system based on shaping filters. The carrier spacing is carefully selected so that the carriers are spectrally orthogonal and the receiver can separate them. In this way, spectral overlapping among sub-carriers is allowed and a spectral efficiency higher than ordinary frequency division multiplexing is achieved. In addition, the implementation of OFDM is simple and very efficient because of the use of FFT algorithm and polyphase filtering.
