Abstract :
Presenting salient information, significant to the audience, in an understandable manner is effective communication. Presenting information, or presenting in a manner not attuned to the audience is counter productive. Technical schools that help their students learn good information transfer and presentation techniques help them become effective communicators, which will enhance their careers. This paper addresses the following aspects of communication: know the audience you´re communicating to; some basics for effective communication; communication training for technical people; and, in conclusion
