Abstract :
To many manufacturers, the IEC 1000-4-X series of Basic EMC Standards seems to be constantly changing. Manufacturers are concerned about pending changes to test standards which may require the purchase of new simulators, modifications of test facilities, or re-writing test plans and procedures. This paper outlines the operation of the task forces and working groups responsible for developing new 1000-4-X series standards, and brings the reader up-to-date on pending new documents, revisions or changes, and proposed amendments to existing standards
