Abstract :
A set of measurement techniques for experimental characterization of GPR antennas has been developed. The techniques are realized for measurements in both time and frequency domains. The antenna parameters determined with these techniques are: the antenna input and transient impedances, the radiation patterns, the near-field footprint and the elevation profile. All these parameters are determined while antenna under test is situated in the vicinity of the ground.
