Abstract
An approach to virtual instrumentation (VI) time analysis is presented. A problem of computational complexity from both, metrological and programming aspects is described. Tests with the basic LabVIEW functions were performed. The verification of the approach, referring to the thorough virtual instrument tests and the time optimization process, is described. Some conclusions concerning the design of the Real-Time virtual instruments are presented.
