Abstract
High temperature stress had some influence in mesophyll cell ultrastructure of Camellia Oleifera varieties with dissimilar heat tolerance types. The heat-susceptive varieties were injured much more severely than that with heat-resistance under the same heat stress. the destructiveness under 40°C high temperature stress was not significanton the ultrastructure of heat-resistant varieties. Thylakoid grana lamellar structures of GS84-8 and GW2 disappered in and the other species had less change. The destructiveness of high temperature stress was heavy on the ultrastructure for all 4 varieties under 45 °C high temperature stress. However, GS84-8 was more serious than the others. This phenomenon of plasmolysis was serious, thylakoid grana lamellar structures were disintegrated, nuclear envelope ruptured, and tnuclear and cell organelle degraded. The destructiveness caused by high temperature stress for variety G190 was lower than the others. The result regarding ultrastructure regarding heat tolerance was consistent with the one by cluster analysis.
