  • Abstract
Hydro One plays a leadership role in engaging the global electricity industry to advance the smart grid vision of realizing increases in system reliability and enhanced customer service including: leading a national coalition of industry partners in successfully advocating for dedicated telecommunications spectrum for smart grid critical infrastructure from federal regulators (a world-wide precedent); actively participating at the executive level in international AMI organizations (Utilimetrics, Smart Grid Development Group, USB Leadership Team, UTC); and opening our doors for delegations from Canada and around the world (US, Australia, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, etc.) to share our experience, research, and vision.
