Abstract :
Due to the characteristics of cold chain logistics, this paper proposes a model of a multi-level-instrumented physical monitoring platform based on ZigBee and RFID technologies and Grid computing management system. Information about food products and their environments can be gathered and processed throughout the logistic chain in real time, thus the system model can facilitate more accurate monitoring and control of the cold chain logistics, and improve the logistic service level.
