Abstract
The paper introduces the three stages of research and development of distributed generation (DG) in China: 1) stand-alone DG systems; 2)Grid-connected DG systems; 3) A micro-grid with multi-energy generators (MGMEG). A comprehensive testbed for MGMEG (TB-MGMEG) in lab built in Hefei University of Technology(HFUT), China is described in detail. The TB-MGMEG includs wind, photovoltaic, and fuel cells, energy storage and local loads with maximum power 200 kW. Its features are single-phase, three-phase and multi-AC buses with energy management system (EMS) that conforms to the IEC61970 standards.
