Abstract :
This paper is based on the median filter algorithm that is considered one of the most commonly used algorithms in the field of background subtraction. In order to make the median filter algorithm adaptive with sudden change in surrounding circumstances a fuzzy logic inference system has been developed to make the parameters of Median Filter algorithm adaptive to the changes of sudden circumstances that surrounding the moving object to detach it from the background. Experimental results demonstrate that the fuzzy inference system is very efficient and robust.
