  • Abstract
This paper aims to study on the physical characteristic and thermal-transfer process of Chinese traditional Moxibustion by carrying out theoretical and experiment verification between modern Moxibustion instruments and deducing the design of modern Moxibustion instrument. The methods used included a research on the physical condition of selected point and the hot phase of transfer in Chinese traditional Moxibustion and analysis of the diversity between different Moxibustions. A one-dimension model of steady state of thermal conduction was established to describe tradition Moxibustion. A mathematics analysis of temperature curve distribution was done and the authors were able to verify the temperature field distribution of traditional Moxibustion through infrared-heat-imaging experiment. The paper showed that temperature field distribution of selected point of traditional Chinese moxibustion is identical to that of modern Moxibustion instruments
