Abstract :
Former research of transport reliability focuses on road network, few of which refer to the intersection traffic reliability in microcosmic level. The paper proposes the conception of traffic reliability based on which the supply-demand reciprocity is analyzed, and brings forward the methodology that the disabled condition should be differentiated according to distinct system functions. Aiming at single-intersection category, the paper analyzes main factors influencing the single-intersection reliability, and then develops two models in computing the degree of intersection reliability: The reliability model based on D/C ratio and the other one based on performance index, each of which is suitable in given presuppositions and requirements.
