Abstract :
With the increasing probability of public critical incident, the common water use crisis is a heavy problem must be faced by each city. So to construct emergency-type water source is an important task of all levels administration departments of water sector. To assess the planning constructing emergency-type water source can ensure the reasonable selection of water source. The main water use is from the surface water reservoirs and the quantity of groundwater exploitation is about 8,000m3/d and the degree of exploitation and utilizing of groundwater is low, so the groundwater in Pu´er city is being planed as a big emergency type wells field. For an emergency type wells field, the changing of the groundwater quality should be predicted ahead. The numerical model has been used to simulate and predict the groundwater quality changing and some results have been obtained: if the water quality in Simao River will not be aggravated continuously and the abstraction of groundwater is not increased quickly, the polluting speed of the groundwater is slow and the degree of pollution is low. To the year of 2020, the groundwater can meet the demand of water use when the common water use crisis happened. But in the long run, to improve the quality of water body in Simao River is the most important measurement to maintain the groundwater quality.
