Abstract :
The induction heating of metal disks, especially of relatively large diameters, can be more economical than in electric or gas furnaces. An effect of geometrical and material parameters, power supply renditions and heating rates on the power and temperature distribution in the charge are presented. Methods the uniform heating of disks in systems with and without the possibility of selecting the inductor diameter for given disk diameter are discussed. The results obtained can be used as an element of the expert system
