  • Abstract
Since 1998, GPR has been used in Vietnam for a wide range of geotechnical and engineering applications. The stratigraphy and internal structure of dike/dam system and proposed sites for construction are becomming increasingly important in many ingineering and sedimentological studies. A number of brief case studies of successful applications of GPR in Vietnam to geotechnical target are included using antenna frequencies from 50 to 200 MHz by Pulse EKKO 100A Geological System. This range from shallow mapping to depths of several metres to the detection of holes and fractures in body of dike/dam system. The anomalies which are related with termite holes or geological interfaces of studying areas are interpreted by georadar data.
