Abstract :
To maintain the stability of the vehicle and to guarantee the traction performance, an acceleration slip regulation (ASR) system is proposed for a front-axle drive electric passenger car. The control strategy of ASR based on the ASR system mentioned above is developed, which is realized in MATLAB/Stateflow. In order to study the characteristics of the ASR system better and to evaluate the performance of the developed control strategy, road tests are performed on different road surfaces and the test results show that the developed control strategy can be beneficial to both the stability and the traction performance of the electric passenger car.
