Abstract
A model for a neurolike medium with a self-consistent excitation threshold is studied. The action of the second component of the medium leads to the loss of stability by the stationary excitation area which is stable for the U-component. Pulsed structures can appear as a result of the interaction of different moving objects of the medium. Thus, it is shown how quasi-periodic pulsations form from the collision of two counterpropagating pulses
