  • Abstract
A supply chain is a complex system with numerous members and interrelations. To be able to control and regulate the system´s behavior, the different subsystems need to be monitored and the results need evaluated. Thus, a systematic approach is needed, which goal it is to provide the expected information to the right actor at the right time. This paper provides an information requirements analysis that leads to establishment of a monitoring strategy in distributed processes of a supply chain. The possible information layers in a supply chain and their information requirements will be shown. The framework is used to develope a monitoring starategy within a small case study.
