Abstract :
We compare energy consumptions of access and home networks for GPON, DOCSIS 3.0, GPON EOC, and indoor extensions of POF, HomePNA, PLC, and WiMax. Combined GPON EOC and POF technologies provide the most energy-efficient solutions.
