Abstract :
The composition of Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) feeding with conventional standing fractal monopole antenna using the Penta-Gasket-Khoch (PGK) is introduced. For better insight, this antenna is compared to simple fed using the same radiation element. The return loss of main design achieves a good input impedance match and linear phase of S11 throughout the pass-band (3.2-11 GHz). Simulated impulse response of main antenna is about 0.6 ns i.e. a low distortion magnitude in input UWB signal. The measured pattern of antenna displays good mono-polar mode radiation and the gain is found to be stable in most of the transmission band. This antenna is very suitable for applications over Ultra-WideBand (UWB) systems.
