Abstract :
A modular design of Electrocardiogram (ECG) acquisition system is presented. As a crucial part of the system, the Front-End module is made of a programmable, mixed-signal Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This module is designed to satisfy the various forms of bioelectrical measurement with no hardware modification. Controlled by a 32-bit microcontroller, the prototype module recorded the simulated signal in two different standard ECG recording configurations, ten and six electrodes placements. Our study shows a good performance signal recording and the module is open to further developed.
