Abstract :
A method of statistical weather forecasting using databases of meteorological information is presented. The authors propose a special technique for constructing the learning set of images which represent the actual data. Forecasting of forthcoming weather events is based on the recognition of known data images using artificial neural networks and metric methods. Significant probabilities of true forecasting (up to 91%) on different data sets have been achieved
