Abstract :
A frequency domain analysis of the influence of nonlinear distortions on frequency response functions estimated using multisine test signals is presented in this paper. The aim is to illustrate the mechanisms at work when multisine signals are subjected to static nonlinearities. Particular emphasis is given to the behavior of a class of nonlinear distortions termed Type II contributions. The results obtained in this paper are a development of work conducted by the current authors as well as other authors in this field.
