  • Abstract
    Fukuoka Prefectural Police Headquarters implemented a new traffic control center in March 1997 in the Munakata area to cope with rising traffic demand and sudden changes in traffic conditions. This center is based on the newly standardized U-type transmission in Japan. With the aid of signal parameter optimization tools and a newly developed real time offset transition optimization algorithm, considerable improvement has been obtained
