Abstract :
This paper presents a comparison of different resonant inverter topologies. Through simulation the characteristics of an active clamped resonant DC link inverter, an auxiliary resonant commutated pole inverter and an auxiliary quasi resonant DC link inverter are compared. Different modulation and control strategies are taken into consideration. The influence of the circuit and the control strategy on the output characteristics are investigated. A new arrangement of resonant capacitors for the auxiliary quasi resonant DC link inverter is presented.
