Abstract :
This paper investigates the handover request characteristics combining with mobile radio environment, handover request processing time and handover algorithm. With these characteristics, we study system behaviors under various hysteresis windows and two types of fast handover processing times in overloaded condition. We propose two handover rejection schemes to decrease handover request waiting time and compare system performance of both schemes to that of the existing scheme (FCA: fixed channel assignment)
