Abstract :
For burn-in test of battery charger, heaters are generally used as loads, and significant energy will be wasted. In order to save energy and reduce the test cost, a load consumption free method is expected. In this paper, a new control strategy of three-phase PWM DC/AC inverter using current-mode control is proposed for this purpose. Replacing the heat load by a DC/AC inverter, the energy is fedback to the utility system. The proposed method can be used to test chargers or other DC equipments. In this paper, the theoretical results are verified both by simulated and experimental results in a 5 KVA laboratory prototype system
