Title :
Load Control Analysis for Intermittent Generation Mitigation
Author :
Chassin, David P.
Abstract :
Load control has always been a part of the repertoire of resources used by utilities to manage the balance between electric energy supply and demand. In recent years, advances in communications and control technology have enabled utilities to consider continuously controlling demand response to mitigate intermittent generation. This paper discusses a general method for load resource analysis that parallels an approach used to analyze intermittent generation resources and might help understand how demand response control can be examined in a manner consistent with generation control.
