Abstract
With widespread application of component software, component software reliability has received a great deal of attention. Traditional architecture-based models only take fault detection process into account but ignore fault correction process when analyzing component software reliability in the testing phase. With respect to this issue, a hybrid infinite server queueing model is proposed. This model makes use of queueing theory to model the whole process of component software testing including fault detection and correction process in the presence of the fault repair policy. This model is in keeping with the characters of component software testing so closely that it can describe component software reliability process accurately. Finally, the evaluation experiment shows the effectiveness of the model.
