Abstract :
This paper presents the optimum termination method of a TEM cell, in which hybrid termination resistor array networks are utilized. The current stream on the septum, and on the terminal end of a TEM cell is analyzed by numerical analysis. Based on the result of the circuit analysis, the optimum resistor array network is designed, which assures efficient power dissipation, and straight and a uniform current stream. Thermovision photos were taken for comparing the above mentioned network with the conventional termination network on which each resistor is arranged for uniform current distribution. The results of thermovision photos show a good agreement with those obtained by numerical analysis
