  • Abstract
The model of rice husk air gasification in the updrafted fixed bed was developed using Aspen Plus. The model predicts gasification temperature, gas composition and heating values in good agreement with experimental data. The sensitivity analysis module of Aspen Plus was used to research the effect of air equivalence ratio ER value on the gasification temperature, gas composition, heating value and gasification efficiency. The results were showed that when the ER value increased, the gasification temperature increased gradually. And carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H2) and nitrogen (N2) increased, while methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) decreased. The heating value and gasification efficiency also decreased accordingly.
