  • Abstract
Pyrolysis characteristics and kinetics of pig manure were investigated with thermogravimetric analysis. Experiments at different heating rates (10°/min, 20°/min, 30°/min, 50°/min) and particle sizes (0.2mm, 0.2∼0.5mm, 0.5∼1mm) were performed and analyzed. The results showed that the non-isothermal pyrolysis process of pig manure is composed of dehydration, transition phase, rapid pyrolysis stage and carbonation stage. Particle diameter has little effect on the pyrolysis when it is lower than 1mm. With the increasing of heating rate, the starting and the ending temperatures of each operating conditions move to the high temperature side. The peak of weight loss rate grows wider and smoother Based on the experiment, the first order reaction kinetic model was used to calculate the kinetic parameters of pig manure.
