Abstract
The widespread use of the power electronic place the problem of the correct operation of the protection system, in order to guarantee the electrical safety for the person in case of indirect contact downstream a converter. The aim of this paper is to estimate the various shapes of voltage and current waves in case of fault in order to give any indications about the correct choice of the protection system. Some simulation results was presented to evaluate the shapes of voltage and current waves through the persons in case of indirect contact for various grounding configurations of the electric system.
