Abstract :
It is expedient to use one of the different types of energy storage systems (in dependence of load) in a power system at switching of peak loads, which cannot be covered at the expense of reserve of units operating at the moment. The problem of power system mode moderation at load surge by short term (5-30 s) switching of power source in a kind of synchronous flywheel generator has been considered in the paper.
