Title :
E&HS aspects on metal recovery from electronic scrap
Abstract :
Inside the electronics we all use and enjoy a multitude of materials and substances does the work. Some of these materials are potentially hazardous to man or the environment. Smelters and refiners producing and handling some of these materials have long experience on how to treat and process toxic materials. The integration of new waste streams into the business of recycling has put forward new challenges. Drawing upon the internal control mechanisms and based on our long experience problems are detected, solutions implemented and the result monitored. In the paper the impact of recycling of electronic scrap on EH&S is discussed.
