Abstract :
This paper presents a comparison between a linear Proportional-Integral (PI) controller and a Finite Set Model Predictive Control (FS-MPC) for current control references in unbalance voltage conditions. Instantaneous active reactive control (IARC), balance positive sequence control (BPSC) and positivenegative sequence control (PNSC) current references are evaluated. Experimental results are shown for the PNSC strategy and are compared with the simulation results. The current harmonic distortion in presence of unbalanced voltage is assessed.
