Abstract :
A low bandwidth RSOA-based WDM-PON system operating at 10 Gb/s is enhanced by means of a correlation-sensitive MLSE. By using this receiver configuration, lower number of states is needed and about 20% longer fibre distance can be achieved than using a conventional MLSE.
